After a comprehensive national search, St. Benedict’s Episcopal School is proud to announce Katie Argall as its new Middle School Principal. With a deep-rooted passion for independent education and a commitment to holistic student development, Argall brings a wealth of experience and leadership that aligns seamlessly with the school’s mission.
With sixteen years of experience at prestigious independent schools—including Norfolk Academy, Culver Academies, and The Westminster Schools—Argall has built a reputation for fostering academic excellence and student growth. As a mathematics and music educator, and an experienced athletic program leader, she has a unique ability to make complex concepts accessible, ensuring students feel supported and inspired. Her leadership of Westminster’s MayATL program, an initiative that engages over 650 students and 90 faculty members in experiential learning across Atlanta, demonstrates her dedication to creating transformative educational experiences.
Beyond her professional achievements, Argall is already an integral part of the St. Benedict’s community. As an Atlanta resident and St. B’s parent, she brings both professional expertise and a personal connection to the school. Her two sons are currently thriving in the Lower School, giving her unique insight into the values, traditions, and strong sense of belonging that define St. Benedict’s.
"As a parent and an educator, I believe middle school is a time of incredible discovery and growth," said Argall. "I am honored to step into this role and partner with the talented faculty, staff, and families at St. Benedict’s to create an environment where every student is known, valued, and inspired to reach their fullest potential."
A former college basketball player and championship-winning coach, Argall applies the same drive, teamwork, and leadership to education that she demonstrated on the court. Her ability to build strong, student-centered programs is reflected in her numerous accolades, including multiple Teacher of the Year awards and recognition as a Top 50 Educator Nationally by Disney.
“Katie embodies everything we envisioned when we reimagined the leadership of our Middle School; deep educational expertise, a commitment to student well-being, and a strong connection to our community,” said Rev. Brian Sullivan, Head of School at St. Benedict’s Episcopal School. “Her leadership will ensure that our middle schoolers continue to thrive in an environment rooted in academic excellence, character development, and a deep sense of belonging. We could not be more excited to welcome her into this role.”
St. Benedict’s looks forward to the leadership and vision Katie Argall will bring to the Middle School and welcomes her to this new role. We would also like to thank the search committee and all those who were involved in this extensive search process—we are thrilled with the outcome.
