Application Deadlines

Preschool 1s - Pre-Kindergarten

 

Applications for the 2025-2026 school year are available in Ravenna and are due by January 21, 2025, to be considered in the first round of admissions. Applications received after January 21, 2025, will be reviewed and notified on a rolling basis, depending on space availability in a particular grade.  After January 21, 2025, please contact the admissions office at admissions@stbs.org to find out if space is still available in your child’s grade level.  

• Applicants to Preschool 1s must be 1 year old by June 1, 2025.  

• Applicants to Preschool 2s must be 2 years old by September 1, 2025.  

• Applicants to Preschool 3s must be 3 years old by September 1, 2025.  

• Applicants to PreK must be 4 years old by September 1, 2025.

 

Kindergarten - 8th Grade

 

Applications for the 2025-2026 school year are available in Ravenna and are due by February 6, 2025, to be considered in the first round of admissions. Applications received after February 6, 2025, will be reviewed and notified on a rolling basis, depending on space availability in a particular grade.  After February 6, 2025, please contact the admissions office at admissions@stbs.org to find out if space is still available in your child’s grade level.

Enrollment Steps

 

Step 1 — Optional: Attend an admissions event.  Interested parents should attend one of these events to learn more about our school. Dates for these events can be found here.  Please register in Ravenna.

• Chapel and Chat 

  • Attend a chapel service and an admissions presentation given by our leadership team to learn more about curriculum, community, and core values

• Open House 

  • Open House includes an admissions presentation, a campus tour, and the opportunity to converse with administrators, faculty, admissions representatives, and current St. Benedict's parents and students.

• Preschool Tours 

  • Led by the Preschool Director, prospective families are welcome to register for smaller, more personalized tours throughout the school year. 

• K-8th Tours  

  • Led by a member of the Admission Office, we would love for you to join us on campus to experience our curriculum and community in action.

 

Step 2 — Submit Application and Additional Admissions Requirements: Create an account in Ravenna and establish your child’s student profile. You must upload a photo of your child to his or her student profile.  Find St. Benedict’s in the School Directory and click on the green Apply button next to our name.  Complete the Shared Applicant Information Form and the Parent/Guardian Statement and submit these along with a non-refundable $100 application fee.   

 

Additional Admission Requirements

Preschool

​

• A Teacher Evaluation Form should be submitted to your child’s teacher through Ravenna by clicking on the “AAAIS Confidential Common Teacher Evaluation Form” link on your child’s St. Benedict’s application dashboard.  The teacher will receive an email containing a secure link through which to complete the form and submit it back to us through Ravenna.  We ask that this form be completed by the teacher after December 1, 2024, and it is due to us by January 23, 2025.  If your child is not currently enrolled in a preschool or daycare program, please let us know by emailing admissions@stbs.org, and we will waive this requirement.

• PreK admission assessments will take place in January 2025. Once you submit your child's application, you will be able to register for an assessment time in Ravenna.

• A family interview will take place with an Admissions team member at our main campus.  We ask that your child be present at the interview, and it usually lasts about 30 minutes.  Once you submit your child’s application, you will be able to register for an interview time by clicking on the “Register for an Event” link under the “Family Interview” heading at the bottom of your child’s St. Benedict’s application dashboard in Ravenna.  

 

  

  Kindergarten - 5th Grade

 

• A Teacher Evaluation Form should be submitted to your child’s teacher through Ravenna by clicking on the “AAAIS Confidential Common Teacher Evaluation Form” link on your child’s St. Benedict’s application dashboard.  The teacher will receive an email containing a secure link through which to complete the form and submit it back to us through Ravenna.  We ask that this form be completed by the teacher after December 1, 2024, and it is due to us by February 13, 2025.  

• Applicants to 5th grade are also required to submit an evaluation form to their principal or school counselor in the same manner described above.  We ask that this form be completed by the principal or school counselor after December 1, 2024, and it is due to us by February 13, 2025.  

• An official copy of your child’s transcript, including report cards and standardized test scores from the current school year plus the prior two school years, must be received from your child’s current school by February 13, 2025.

• In-House Admissions Assessment - Kindergarten and 1st grade assessments will take place on February 17, 2025.  Assessments for 2nd through 5th grade applicants will take place in conjunction with their shadow day.  Once you submit your child’s application, you will be able to register for the assessment or shadow day in Ravenna.

• Copies of educational assessments and other relevant evaluations (when applicable)

  

6th - 8th Grade

 

• Two Teacher Evaluation Forms (English teacher and Math teacher) should be submitted to your child’s teachers through Ravenna by clicking on the “AAAIS Confidential Common Teacher Evaluation Form” link on your child’s St. Benedict’s application dashboard.  The teachers will receive an email containing a secure link through which to complete the forms and submit them back to us through Ravenna.  We ask that the forms be completed by the teachers after December 1, 2024, and they are due to us by February 13, 2025. 

• An evaluation form from your child’s principal or school counselor should be submitted in the same manner as the teacher evaluation forms described above.  We ask that the form be completed by the principal or school counselor after December 1, 2024, and it is due to us by February 13, 2025.  

• An official copy of your child’s transcript, including report cards and standardized test scores from the current school year plus the prior two school years, must be received from your child’s current school by February 13, 2025.

• Your child’s SSAT test scores should be submitted to us by February 13, 2025.  Our school code is 6340.

• Copies of educational assessments and other relevant evaluations (when applicable)

• In-House Admissions Assessment - 6th through 8th-grade applicants will take place in conjunction with their shadow day.  Once you submit your child’s application, you will be able to register for the assessment or shadow day in Ravenna.

 

 

Step 3 — Notification: Once all application documents have been submitted, our Admissions Committee will review the file and return an admission decision.  Applicants who have submitted their application by the due dates will receive notification on these dates:

• Preschool 1s through PreK 4s: February 3, 2025

• Kindergarten - 8th Grade: April 5, 2025

 

Applications received after the due dates will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with decisions being sent within two weeks of completing the final admissions requirements.

Step 4 — Enrollment: Applicants who are offered admission will subsequently receive an online enrollment contract to complete. You must complete this contract along with submitting a non-refundable $1,600 deposit to officially enroll your child. The deposit will be applied to your tuition balance.  Applicants who were accepted in the first round of admission will have until the following dates to secure their space by completing the enrollment contract and paying the deposit:

• Kindergarten - 8th Grade: April 17, 2025
